This Refund Policy applies to all paid subscriptions to AskTender (the "Service"), operated by Asktender PTY LTD (ACN 700 409 703, ABN 30 700 409 703) ("we", "us", "our"). It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded.
If the Service has a major problem — for example, it is substantially unfit for its purpose or significantly different from what was described — you are entitled to cancel and receive a refund, or to seek compensation for any drop in value. If the problem is minor, we are entitled to a reasonable opportunity to fix it.
The rights described in the rest of this policy are offered in addition to your ACL rights, not instead of them.
Your first 500 requests are free and require no payment details. We strongly encourage you to use this free allowance to confirm the Service meets your needs before subscribing.
If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund of your first subscription payment within 14 days of that payment, provided you have not made substantial use of the Service during that period.
"Substantial use" generally means consumption materially beyond what is reasonably required to evaluate the Service — for example, bulk data exports or sustained high-volume API or MCP usage.
This 14-day window applies to your initial payment. Subsequent renewal payments are covered by section 5.
Subscriptions are month-to-month with no lock-in contract. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard.
We would rather you were happy than technically bound. Outside the circumstances above, we may still issue a refund or credit at our discretion — for example, an accidental duplicate charge, a renewal immediately after a genuinely unused period, or a significant service outage or data failure affecting your use.
If you think your situation warrants a refund, ask us. We assess these case by case and in good faith.
Send us a request via our contact page and include:
We aim to respond to every refund request within 5 business days.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method via our payment processor, Stripe. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
Once approved, funds typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer. That timing is controlled by your financial institution, not by us.
Where a refund is issued, any GST charged on the original payment is refunded proportionally, and we will issue an adjustment note where required.
Where a payment is refunded in full, the corresponding subscription is cancelled and any associated API keys are revoked. Access to paid features ends at that point.
If you believe you have been charged incorrectly, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than your bank can. Raising a chargeback without contacting us may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated.
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on the Service and update the "Last updated" date. The policy in force at the time of your payment is the one that applies to that payment.
